Races Update

I just finished added the core races to the Dndsnd races page the core races are linked to The Hypertext d20 SRD^TM is owned and created by Jans Carton. I will be added other races to the site as we go.

Demons And Devils

When it comes to Dungeons and Dragons The Abyss and the Hells are two of the places I like to read about or add to my game table this week Wizards talks more about the design of some of the fiercest creatures of these two planes. Demons and Devils.

In the real world, "demon" is synonymous with "devil." "Abyss" and "hell" have a similar relationship. D&D designers have struggled with these facts since 1977 when the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game depicted demons and devils, the Abyss and the Nine Hells. The original basis for the division was alignment. Aligned planes existed to provide a meaningful afterlife for similarly aligned characters, and a need to fill those planes with natives resulted in demons being distinct from devils. As the game evolved, the original division remained, but too many similarities persisted. The advent of 4th Edition lets us accentuate the differences between the two primary species of fiends.

4E Dungeons & Dragons; Wizards

With all the new 4e new designs so far I like the wizard ideas I really hope that they are expanded. The other focus I hope to hear about is the psion or psionic characters. Dungeons and Dragons in my opinion just keeps getting better.

Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition, Wizads of the Coast

I know that Wizards has been releasing Dungeons and Dragons new editions and revisions for the past 8 years. I also know that some people are not to happy about it, however I am not one of those unhappy people I love what Wizards has been doing and look forward to the newest and what I see to be one of the best incarnations of DnD. The other new element is the D&D insider combining Dragon and Dungeon online in a digital format, not only that you can play the game with old friends and new friends anywhere in the world with the digital table top. This is not the end of pen and paper D&D people will still be able to play in their kitchen or dens just like usual. I find both to be extremely exciting. As far as online tools, the D&D Gaming Table and Character Visualizer were first previewed at Gen Con. Look for extensive information on all of these tools in future articles.
